Temples lost their true purpose.
In my opinion, Hinduism was a way to explain science, not a religion as it is now. I will be taking a lot of examples to support this argument. As a starting, in this blog, I will begin with the ancient temples.
In this 21st century, temples are just hotspots where you can fulfil all your wishes without any effort by just praying to the deity depending upon the deity present there(like Sree Lakshmi for wealth, Lord Vishnu for health, Sree Saraswati for studies etc). But in the beginning, things were not so. Temples were not meant for this purpose. The temple has a whole had more importance than the deity. Everything that we define as art about the architecture of the temple is actually science, from the size of the idol to the location of the temple and the sanctum.
I will elaborate:
Temple can be considered as a prototype of the cosmos comprising of all the 5 elements(Prithvi (Earth), Jal (Water), Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire) and Akash (Sky)). All those who have ever visited a temple would have noticed all these 5 elements there.
The ancient past of India and it's temples will show us the main science behind temple construction. Temples were the powerful spaces where the inherent energy in a person can be extracted(like activating different chakras, the main energy centres in the human body).
This is possible because those temples were built at a place where the earth’s magnetic waves pass through densely(but the majority of the temples built now are not built like this). And the location of the deity is where the magnetic waves are the maximum.
In all ancient temples, the deity is placed on a copper plate, this is because this copper plate absorbs the magnetic waves and radiates it to the surrounding. A regular visitor of the temple will definitely feel this vibes. The location where the idol is placed is covered from 3 sides to increase the effectiveness of these magnetic waves and the lamps lit in that produces heat energy. When the devotees in the temple start chanting in a unison, they forget their personal problems and relieve their stress. The door of the sanctum is kept closed for a while at particular times this is because by doing this the accumulated positive energy gushes out onto everyone present outside. The aroma of the flowers and the burning of camphor also creates a good aura as it gives out chemical energy.
The bells in the temple compose of various metals like lead, cadmium, zinc, copper, chromium, nickel and manganese. The proportion of these metals used is the real science behind the bell. The sound produced by these bells helps to create unity between the left and the right brain. When this bell rings it creates an echo sound which lasts for some time and it touches the seven healing centres(chakras) of our body. This sound also don’t allow insects to remain inside the temple for long. The floor of the ancient temples were good conductors of these magnetic waves which allow them to pass through our feet to our body that's why footwear are not allowed inside a temple(cleanliness is also a reason).
Everything that I have discussed so far is not only valid for Hindus, it's valid for all human beings, so temple does not belong to any particular religion.
But today temples have become the property of Hindus and hence it lost the true purpose.
Such a useful and new information..... Keep writing...
